The Apologia
From the beginning, my goal in response to the charges brought against me was to reveal as clearly as possible the faithful sources in Scripture, tradition and church law for my decision to officiate at Nancy and Brenda’s marriage ceremony. This is an Apologia, an ancient Christian form of persuasion springing from Paul’s sermons to the Gentiles in the Acts of the Apostles, which I offered to the Permanent Judicial Commission of the Pittsburgh Presbytery for their consideration. Our Worship
